Lassen varsity softball beat Las Plumas 5 to 4 with a one out single by Megan Novosad to score Jaquie Smith and Amanda Lynn for the win in the bottom of the 7th inning Tuesday afternoon.
Megan Novosad pitched 3 innings of scoreless relief for the win.
Amanda Lynn was 4 for 4, scored 2 runs and currently leads the state for runs scored with 51. Laken Cagle was 2 for 2 with a triple and Courtney Williams had 2 RBIs.
Lassen will take on first place Red Bluff at 4:00p.m. Wednesday.
