McKinley Elementary School got a clean sweep on Saturday, August 17th, with a community cleanup organized by members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and local volunteers. The goal was to provide clean, fresh grounds for returning students and staff.
Over 20 people showed up to help hoe and rake leaves, clean weeds and trash from flowers beds, remove cobwebs and sweep around and in front of the building.
The project ran from 8:00 to 11:30 and participants enjoyed the fun and sun, and were happy to help.
