The Historic Uptown Susanville Association has announced the winners of this year’s online Safe N’ Sane Halloween costume contest. Winners were chosen through online voting at the HUSA website.
According to contest organizer Nicole Martinez there were 525 votes cast during the contest. Because of this year’s large response HUSA plans to have the contest run throughout the month of October next year to give entrants more time to set up and stage their entries.
This year’s People’s Choice award went to Pennywise for garnering more votes than any other entry.
Costume contest sponsors included Margie’s Book Nook, Sierra Theater and Uptown Cinemas, Sierra Desert Properties and Treats Dog Company.
