Richmond School played host to the annual Lassen County Geography Bee this week, with a bunch of really smart students from schools across the county showing off their geographical skills and abilities.
The purpose of the Geography Bee, part of a national initiative more than three decades old, is to make sure that young people continue to gain the knowledge, global understanding and skills to help solve our world’s most pressing problems.
Wyatt Bruce, a 6th grader from Richmond School, and Rebel Roberts, a fifth-grader from Meadow View, were the overall winners of the competition.
