Spectacular views await at the Bass Hill Wildlife Area

Get out and stretch your legs this Sunday, March 29th, with a special outdoor adventure at the Bass Hill Wildlife Area hosted by Discover Lassen and Lassen Land and Trails Trust.

Hikers can expect to see mammals, birds, flowers, butterflies and an eagle’s view of the Susan River valley. The hike will be about 3-hours long with stops for nature enjoyment and rest.

Please RSVP to 530.257.3252 or 530.375.0199.

Participants will meet at the historic Susanville railroad depot on Richmond Road at 10:00a.m or at the Bass Hill Wildlife Area, where parking is limited, at 10:30a.m.

The wildlife area is 5.2 miles east of the stoplight at McDonald’s on Highway 395. As the highway goes up Bass Hill after Diane Drive,  past two silver guardrails, look for trees and a small parking area on the right just west of the county landfill.
