“Based upon evidence obtained at the scene and the hard work of members of the department,” said Chief Downing in a short statement, “the Susanville Police Department made an arrest today in the burglary of Little Caesar’s Pizza.”

According to Downing an employee of the restaurant, identified as 19 year-old Susanville resident Aaron Bowman, was established as a suspect, interviewed and arrested in the case.

Bowman was booked into The Lassen County Jail on charges of burglary, vandalism, embezzlement and possession of stolen property. He will be held on $30,000 bail.

Subsequent to the arrest officers searched Bowman’s residence and located several items implicating him in the crime, including over $4,000 in stolen cash.

“I am proud of the effort the SPD staff put into this case,” said Downing. “Their hard work, coupled with the assistance of the business owner, resulted in a quick arrest and recovery of stolen property in this case.”

The crime will be referred to the Lassen County District Attorney for review.
