The Holiday Season is almost upon us and we’ve put together a list of craft fairs, fireworks, parades, the festival of lights, a holiday concert, and many more fun things. Our list will keep growing through the season so check back often.

Monticola Club Christmas Boutique and Country Store
November 10th and November 11th

The Monticola Club at 140 S. Lassen St, in Susanville is hosting their annual Christmas Boutique Craft Fair and Country Store from noon to 8:00p.m. on Friday November 10 and 9:30 to 5:00p.m. on Saturday, November 11. You can find unique and handmade gifts and view crafts from local artists. Find something wonderful to surprise that special person with. Your participation as a vendor or buyer helps the Club make available scholarships for local students and support other community activities. Come on by and enjoy some refreshments and browse the offerings.

Veterans’ Parade

Veterans’ Parade Saturday, at 11:00a.m. on Main Street Susanville.

Lassen Cougars Veterans’ Breakfast
November 11th

Lassen Cougars would like to honor all who served by offering a free breakfast for Veterans and their family members at the Community Church of Susanville, 1400 Numa Road, Susanville. Serving begins at 7:30 to 10:15a.m.


Shaffer Elementary School Veteran’s Day Fall Craft Fair
November 11th

Shaffer Elementary School Veteran’s Day Fall Craft Fair will be from 10:00 – 4:00p.m. 10% discount for Veterans. Come out and support local businesses and Shaffer’s PTO.

42nd Annual Church Women and Friends Bazaar
November 10th and 11th

42nd Annual Church Women and Friends Bazaar will be held at the Monsignor Moran Hall on Weatherlow and North Street. Friday hours are 4:00 – 7:00p.m., and Saturday’s hours are 9:00 – 3:00p.m. First Southern Baptist Community Church will be providing lunch.

Honey Lake Hospice ‘Light Up a Life’ Tree Lighting
November 18th

The 20th annual Honey Lake Hospice ‘Light Up a Life’ Tree Lighting Ceremony will be held at the Methodist Fellowship Hall, 635 Cottage St., Susanville, at 6:30p.m. This one-hour heartwarming event takes place outdoors followed by an indoor reception with refreshments. Those who wish to honor the memory of a loved one, may have the loved one’s name inscribed on a dove, and placed on the Hospice Memorial Tree. Forms are available at Margie’s Book Nook and Plumas Bank. $10.00 per Dove – laminated paper or $100.00 per perpetual Dove – acrylic. All are welcome to visit the tree which lights up each night beginning Saturday, November 18th through the first of the New Year.

Happy Harvest Craft Fair
November 18th

Join Back County Boutique for Happy Harvest Craft Fair 9:00 to 5:00p.m., at the Lassen Senior Center, 1700 Sunkist Drive, Susanville. Explore the work of local artists, enjoy family-friendly fun, scavenger hunt and raffles.

Annual Fall Craft Fair in the Barn
November 18th and 19th

It’s that time of year again. Our annual craft fair in the barn will be held the weekend before Thanksgiving. Saturday 10:00 – 4:00p.m., and Sunday 10:00 – 2:00p.m. New vendors and old favorites showcasing new designs. Christmas gifts, decor, books, plants, jewelry, hats, soaps,. tumblers, wreaths, signs and FOOD! Don’t miss it!! Sentimental Journey, 465-320 Church Street, Janesville.

The Nutcracker
November 18th and November 19th

Best of Broadway brings to you Reno Dance Company’s The Nutcracker at the Veterans Memorial Hall. Saturday, November 18th 2:00p.m. and 7:00p.m. and Sunday, November 19th 1:00p.m., and 6:00p.m. Tickets Available at Zaengles Floor & Home and Margie’s Book Nook. Free Thanksgiving Dinner
November 23rd

Susanville Assembly of God Free Thanksgiving Dinner will be available from 11:00 – 2:00p.m. They are offering dine-in, drive thru, or delivery. For more information or to request delivery, please call 530.257.5000


10th Annual Thanksgiving Day Turkey Trot
November 23rd

10th Annual Thanksgiving Day Turkey Trot will be held at the Hall of Justice, 2610 Riverside Drive. Registration starts at 7:30a.m., run starts at 8:00a.m. Donations of non-perishable food or cash are appreciated. All proceeds to benefit Senior Programs at the Susanville Salvation Army.

Westwood Christmas in the Mountains
December 1st

Light parade with Santa and Mrs. Claus, goodie bags handed out to all kids. Prizes for 1st and 2nd place floats. Parade starts at 6:00p.m., in downtown Westwood

Susanville Assembly of God Annual Christmas Marketplace
December 1st and December 2nd

Susanville Assembly of God Annual Christmas Marketplace will be from 4:00 to 8:00p.m. on Friday and on Saturday the hours are 9:00 – 2:00p.m., 473-465 Richmond Road.

Soaring Eagle Blue Star Moms Holiday Craft Fair
December 1st and December 2nd

Soaring Eagle Blue Star Moms of Susanville will be holding their annual Holiday Craft Fair at the Veterans’ Memorial Hall. Unique gifts, dazzling jewelry, local artists, delicious food, home decor, and more. Friday 4:00 – 8:00p.m., and Saturday 10:00 – 3:00p.m.

Lassen College Christmas Craft Fair
December 1st and December 2nd

Come meet artists and crafters and find that special one-of-a-kind gift. at Lassen Community College Sports Center. Friday hours are 5:00 – 8:00p.m., and Saturday hours are 10:00 – 3:00p.m.

Motorheads Gift Drive
December 2nd

The Motorheads, a Susanville car club, will be collecting toys, clothing and school supplies at their car show and meet on Saturday, December 2nd, to help support the Susanville Salvation Army’s Angel Tree program. The car show and collection event starts at 8:30a.m., December 2nd at Carlson’s Tire Pros on Riverside Drive. Donated gifts need to be brought back to Carlson’s before 11:30 to be included in the caravan of gifts to be delivered to the Salvation Army. Gift tickets can also be picked up, and gifts can be dropped off at Plumas Bank in Susanville before December 2nd, to be included in the caravan. Magical Country Christmas
December 2nd

Magical Country Christmas Saturday, December 2nd from 4:00 – 7:00p.m. Ring in the Holiday season with Santa’s grand entry parade, Christmas tree lighting, fireworks, vendors, food and beverages, a hot toddy walk for adults 21 and over, and free photos with Santa and Mrs. Claus.


Festival of Lights
December 8th – December 25th

Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays the Lassen County Fair is hosting its ‘Holiday Festival of Lights’ exhibition at the fairgrounds. The displays are built by different local groups, organizations, and individuals for the public to drive through and ‘oooooh and ahhhhhhh’ at during the season.

Festival of Lights opens on December 8th and runs Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays. Gates are open 5:00 – 9:00p.m. Gates will be open Friday, December 22nd through the following Monday, December 25th. Drive-thru the fairway and see holiday light displays. Donations are accepted.

Standish 4H Christmas Craft Fair
December 8th, 9th and 10th

Come shop with us & have a hot lunch on Sat & Sun WIN A Decorated Christmas Tree or Select Other Groups $2 Drawing tickets A variety of local vendors will bring a carousel of items for the holidays. We will have a hot lunch available on Saturday and Sunday. At the Standish 4-H Hall, 718-880 Hwy 395 East Standish CA Just past the Wayside Gas Station & Market. Janesville Parade of Lights
December 9th

Parade begins at 6:00p.m., staging at the firehall at 4:00p.m. Parade on Main Street looping from the Hall to the Dollar General. Tree lighting pictured with Santa, food and drinks.

Lassen County Fair Christmas Cowboy Style
December 14th

Presented by Blue Ice Vodka, Jeremy McComb’s Christmas, Cowboy-Style Tour is an immersive Christmas experience that takes you back to a much simpler time. The show has sold out two years in a row and brings a magical crowd connection with Christmas music and cowboy poetry from: Michael Martin Murphy, Willie Nelson, Asleep at the Wheel, Garth Brooks and more! The Lassen County Fairgrounds is decking out the Industrial Building for this one-night only event which also includes a steak dinner. Come celebrate a traditional Western Christmas!

Lassen County Fair Holiday Craft Fair
December 15th and 16th

The holidays are upon us, and the Lassen County Fair Holiday Craft Fair is just around the corner. Friday, December 15th from 4:00 to 8:00p.m., and Saturday, December 16th from 9:00 to 2:00p.m. Featuring photos with Santa. Vendor applications available now. The Susanville Symphony Presents: A Magical Christmas
December 22nd and 23rd

Audience sing-a-longs, special soloists and more bring you closer to your family and to the holiday spirit that encapsulates this beautiful area we live in. Friday, December 22nd at 7:00p.m. and Saturday, December 23rd at 2:30 p.m., at the United Methodist Church, 60 S. Lassen Street. Tickets will be available at Lassen County Chamber of Commerce and Margie’s Book Nook
