A Susanville Stuff Feature
by Melissa Blosser, Assistant Editor
The Union Street head Start  brought the pumpkin patch experience to the backyard of the yard of the school Friday October 19th, pumpkins lined out on the grass, and animals for the kids to pet.
The kids enjoyed picking out their own pumpkins, given to the school at a discount price by Susanville Supermarket. Â Bobi Gage, the site supervisor and morning teacher brought from her home a duck, chicken and a rabbit for the kids to pet and learn about animals.
Children served at Head Start receive individualized services in the areas of education, medical, dental, mental health, and nutrition. Every child is evaluated for their own personal and family strengths and needs.
