WalMart Celebrates Grand Re-Opening with Friday Morning Ribbon Cutting

Twenty-eight years after it originally opened, the Susanville Wal-Mart celebrated its Grand Re-opening Friday, with employees and local dignitaries gathered to cut the ribbon on the store’s big renovation project.

“We are all excited to share the new store improvements with the Susanville community, and I am grateful for the work the Susanville store associates put into make this remodel come to life,” said Store Manager Chris Lau. “Walmart continues to invest in making our customers’ trips to Walmart easier and enjoyable. These improvements are sure to improve the way Susanville shops.”

Big changes have been made across the store with an upgraded pharmacy, a new interactive electronics section and new layouts in home and apparel departments.

At this morning’s event WalMart contributed $4,500 in grants to several local organizations; VFW of Susanville, Susanville Friends of the Library, the Susanville Police Department, the Susanville Fire Department and the Ronald McDonald House.
