Westwood Man Suffers Major Injuries in Highway 32 Motorcycle Crash

A Westwood man sustained major injuries in a motorcycle wreck that occurred Saturday near the intersection of highway 32 and 36 according to details released by the Susanville office of the California Highway Patrol.

The driver of the 2000 Harley Davidson, identified by the CHP as 60-year old Brian Miller, was traveling at an undetermined speed eastbound on Highway 32, just south of the Highway 36 junction, Saturday afternoon when, for unknown reasons, he allowed the motorcycle to exit the roadway to the right where it collided with a large log.

Miller was ejected from the Harley Davidson and sustained injuries to his face, back and he possibly broke his right ankle. According to the CHP he was wearing a helmet at the time of the crash.

Miller was placed on an Enloe Flightcare helicopter and transported to Enloe Medical Center for his injuries.

The CHP report noted that alcohol or drugs were not considered to be a factor in this collision.
