Adopt A Pet from the Lassen County Animal Shelter – Mochi

0

Where are our bully lovers? There is currently a handful down at the Lassen County Animal Shelter and as it turns out, bullies have the toughest time finding new homes. So meet Mochi!

Mochi’s a big boy with lots of love to give and he’s looking for someone to treat him like the star he is. He likes getting outside, but the colder weather lately has been making it harder for him to get a break from indoor kennel life. He yearns for a home, a yard to call his own, and a fire he can lay in front of while his person is watching TV. Okay, maybe he’d like to sit on the couch with his person and binge watch some juicy reality show, all while chewing on his favorite stuffed toy. So long as he’s part of the family activities, Mochi is a happy guy.

It’s unknown if Mochi is dog friendly, but so far he’s responded well to other dogs he’s been paired next to in the outdoor runs. Further testing and evaluations will be done to determine how he reacts nose to nose with other dog friends. Mochi is a little over a year and a half old and he’ll be neutered/brought up to date on his vaccinations prior to adoption. If interested in meeting Mochi, please contact Lassen County Animal Shelter staff at (530) 257-9200.

Additional: If there are dogs already in the home, it is suggested that potential adopters bring them to the shelter to do a meet and greet with the new dog.

Featured animals at the Lassen County Animal Shelter are available for adoption on a first-come-first-serve basis. According to California law, all adoptable dogs and cats must be spayed and neutered before leaving our facility. If interested in adopting an animal, please contact the shelter directly.

Current shelter hours during the COVID-19 pandemic are Monday through Friday, 9:00a.m. to 3:00p.m. Closed Saturday and Sunday. You can contact the shelter at 257-9200.
