Adopt A Pet Today from the Lassen County Animal Shelter – Kayla

Kayla

Update: Kayla has been transferred to a rescue.

Lassen County Animal Shelter’s feature of the week is Kayla!

Kayla arrived at the shelter as a stray, so her past history is unknown. However, staff has been getting to know Kayla better over the length of her stay and it seems unanimous that Kayla is simply ADORABLE. Don’t let her short legs fool you, she has hops and can easily jump up to a person’s middle. It’s a habit she needs to work on, which can be done with consistent positive reward training; she is food motivated and very attentive. Additionally, Kayla has a big alpha girl ego. She would do best as an only dog and staff recommends children in the house be 12+.

Kayla is estimated to be about 7 months old and staff thinks she is a Corgi mix. This cutie pie will be spayed, heartworm tested, and brought up to date on her vaccinations on Monday, 2/14. If interested in meeting Kayla, please call the Lassen County Animal Shelter at 530.257.9200.

Featured animals at the Lassen County Animal Shelter are available for adoption on a first-come-first-serve basis. According to California law, all adoptable dogs and cats must be spayed and neutered before leaving our facility. If interested in adopting an animal, please contact the shelter directly.

Current shelter hours during the COVID-19 pandemic are Monday through Friday, 9:00a.m. to 3:00p.m. Closed Saturday and Sunday. You can contact the shelter at 257-9200.
