Lassen Ale Works and Bottle & Brush Art Bar are teaming up to present a unique new event this Saturday, raising funds for Lassen Land and Trails Trust with an afternoon of music and painting. The ‘Brush Off’ live art event features eight local artists, each creating an outdoor, wildlife or landscape-themed masterpiece within a 90-minute time limit.
Artists at Saturday’s Brush Off include Therese Fowler Bailey, Prairie Rose Burt, Heather Desselle, Cassi Helt, Bryan Haynes, David Holsey, James Kleckner and Randy Panfilio.
Attendees will be able to watch the artists work and then vote for a ‘Viewer’s Choice’ award. When the masterpieces are complete you can bid to take one of them home.
Each $10 ticket gets you a glass of wine, beer or soda and a vote for the painting you like most. Additional Viewer’s Choice voting tickets are $1 each and all proceeds go to Lassen Land & Trails Trust.
Doors open at 2:00 with a cocktail hour and music from Thomas and Linda Braun. Artists begin painting at 2:30 and have until 4:00 to finish their masterpieces. At 5:00 the silent auction will end and the winner of the Viewer’s Choice award will be announced.
