Monday, March 23
Alliance for Workforce Development will be holding an Interviewing Skills workshop from 10:00 – 12:00 pm. Workshops are free to interested parties and they should contact Business and Career Network to reserve a spot at 257-5057.

Tuesday, March 24
Lassen Family Services Within My Reach Group class for victims of domestic violence & sexual assault 9:30 am OR 4:30 pm, this is the final class of the series.  For more information, please call Deborah Probst at (530) 257-4599.

Lassen Ale Works presents, live music by Liam Kyle Cahill. Music starts at 6:00 pm in the back room and there is no cover. For more information, please call (530)257-7666.

Susanville Symphony Academy of Music will be holding their Academy Recital at the United Methodist Church at 7:00 pm. The three groups performing will be the Beginning Band, the Beginning Strings and the Intermediate Strings. These classes are offered to anyone 8 years old and older. That includes adults as well. It is the first step to being able to play an instrument and play with others. Donations at the Recital will be welcomed at the door. They will be selling raffle tickets to win a beautiful quilt donated by local quilter, Marilyn Sue Chapman.

In celebration of Disabilities Awareness Month Lassen College is inviting the community to join them for two programs featuring guest speaker, E. Tony Williams. The Special Athletes Activity Club will be holding awareness activities in the student union from 9:30 to 1:00 p.m. Then in the afternoon, you can attend one of two sessions, at 1:00 and 3:00 p.m., in Middleton Hall on the college campus. Wednesday, March 25
The Westwood High School Senior class will be holding a benefit spaghetti dinner for Yesenia Melendrez, a senior who was diagnosed with thyroid cancer from 5:30 to 7:00 at the Westwood High School Multi-Purpose room.   Tickets are $9 presale and $10 at the door.  There will also be a silent auction.  The goal is to raise $2000 for the family to cover travel, as she will have to go to UC Davis to receive treatment.

Friday, March 27
Grizzliette show will be held at 7:00 p.m., in the Lassen High School big gym. Doors open at 6:00 p.m.  Tickets are $5 for adults, $3 for high school students and $2 for K-8th grade and senior citizens. Presale tickets are available at the LHS student store. The Grizzliettes will be showcasing their routines from this year, plus adding some new material and inviting local dance teams to perform.

Friday, March 27
Senator Ted Gaines & Assemblyman Brian Dahle will be holding a Town Hall Meeting at 4:00 pm at the Masonic Temple, 84 N. Lassen St.  For more information, please email [email protected] or call (916) 933-7213.

Saturday, March 28
Business & Career Network will be holding their 2015 Job Fair from 8:00 – 12:00 pm., in Jensen Hall at the Lassen County Fairgrounds. This is a great opportunity for job seekers to meet with prospective employers.  For more information, please call (530) 257-5057.
