The Lassen County Fair has announced that this year’s Friday night grandstand show will feature platinum-selling artist and hit country songwriter Eric Paslay. The July 20th performance will also feature special guest Jackson Michelson as the concert opener.
Paslay, who has a reputation as a dynamic performer, has celebrated five No. 1 hits including “Even If It Breaks Your Heart” by the Eli Young Band; “Barefoot Blue Jean Night” by Jake Owen; “Angel Eyes” by Love & Theft; “Rewind” by Rascal Flatts and the song “Friday Night,” the smash lead single from his critically acclaimed self-titled debut album.
The Temple, Texas native is a recent GRAMMY award nominee, his first nomination as a recording artist, in the Best Country Duo/Group category for “The Driver,” performed by Lady Antebellum’s Charles Kelley, featuring Eric and Dierks Bentley and a current Song of The Year nominee for “She Don’t Love You” at the ACM Awards.
“A true artist’s artist,” USA Today calls Paslay “flat out-brilliant” and American Songwriter names him an influencer of country music. Paslay recently released his back beat-driven groove “High Class,” the lead single from his highly-anticipated sophomore album, and is on tour with Brad Paisley right now.
When Paslay’s bus rolls into Susanville it will be after beginning the summer on a highly anticipated tour that will take him from the east coast of the U.S. to Scotland and England and back to the United States in July for a series performances that will include the Lassen County Fair.
Joining Eric Paslay on the stage at the fairgrounds will be Corvallis, Oregon, native Jackson Michelson who kicked off his country career here on the West Coast, carving out a sound that blended the rootsy twang of the American South with the sunny, feel-good spirit of the Pacific Coast.
Tickets go on sale soon and the Lassen County Fair runs from July 18th through the 22nd. Click here for more information.
