Lassen High News and Information for Parents and Students

Who will be crowned Miss Lassen County 2023? Junior and Senior girls if you are interested in being a title holder, winning scholarship money, and representing your community, then don’t forget to turn in your Miss Lassen County applications by June 2nd to Mrs. Bennett in room 115.

Senior Prom – Prom is May 13th, 7-10pm at Far Far Away Ranch. Bids are available for purchase at the ASB counter. Cost is $30 single, $50 couple.

Seniors – Sober Grad 2023 will be in the Student Center, June 9th from 9:30-2:00am. Register to attend @ bit.ly/SoberGrad23. Register NO LATER THAN today, May 3rd.

Seniors – If you plan on taking a guest from another school to your Prom, you will need to pick up the guest request form from Carol in the ASB office. The completed form will then need to be turned in by the end of lunch on Wednesday, May 10th.

All Students Yearbooks are $100.00 and there is a limited supply. If you have not pre-ordered you can still purchase one with Carol in the ASB office. If you have signed up for yearbook or are interested in yearbook for the 2023-2024 school year, please see Mrs. Schall in room 113 anytime this week.

All StudentsLooking for a prom dress? Lassen Family Services clothing closet is open Mon-Fri. 9:00 – 5:00 by appointment. Everything is free and does not need to be returned. Lassen Family services is located at 1306 Riverside drive. To make an appointment call 257-4599.

All Students – Bike to School is May 3rd. Meet at Ranch Park at 8:45, leaving at 9:00.

All Students – Grizzliette Show is Friday May 10th at 7:00. Do you want to be a Grizzliette next school year? Tryouts start on May 22nd, 3:30 in the small gym. Get your clearance card from the ASB counter.

All Students – Cheer try outs are May 20th at 8:30am, get your pink slips at the ASB office.

Volleybuff Players – If you are playing in the Volleybuff game, sign up and get your permission slips in the ASB office. Practice starts this week.

AP Exams – Students taking AP Exams will need to leave at 11:15 to have time for lunch, then report to the District Office boardroom in time to start test at 12:00. Teachers have a list of students testing. Today’s exam is Psychology.

Counseling News
If you are a Senior and are planning to attend LCC in the fall, please come to the counseling office and sign up to meet with an LCC representative. Current Scholarships include Susan River Fire Department, Elliot Dow Memorial, Veterans of Foreign War and Lassen Youth Soccer.
