Forecasters at the National Weather Service’s Reno office are warning residents of Lassen, eastern Plumas and eastern Sierra counties, including the city of Susanville, to prepare for another round of winter weather between now and early Sunday morning.
Forecasters expect periods of snow with accumulations of 2 to 5 inches, with localized amounts up to 10 inches above 5,000 feet west of Susanville. A Winter Weather Advisory is in effect from 11:00 tonight until 5:00 Sunday morning.
Even light snowfall causes major travel delays. Be sure to allow extra time to reach your destination. Leave extra space between vehicles since it takes longer to stop on slick roadways. The latest road conditions can be obtained by calling 5 1 1.
