Robert (Bob) Lee Dale Celebration of Life Postponed
Hi everyone, on behalf of my family and loved ones we would like to thank you all for the outpouring of love and kindness since losing this wonderful man recently. Unfortunately the Celebration of Life and ride/walk at the Biz Johnson Trail we had planned for Sat. Oct. 23 will be postponed until the spring due to unforeseen complications due to Covid and poor travel conditions. We will notify everyone when we are going to have the Celebration and walk/ride in dad’s honor. We are sorry for any inconvenience and thank you in advance for understanding, we feel this is the right thing to do for all involved and it is what dad would want also. Robert (Bob) Lee Dale
Robert (Bob) Lee Dale went to be with Jesus on September 22, 2021. He was the young age of 75. He was not feeling quite right and his go to fix was to take a bike ride. He was not aware he had COVID. The next morning, he was very ill.
Bob was born 03/01/1946 in Sacramento, CA to Wade Dale and May Dale. They lived in Coalinga Placerville and Beatty, NV before settling in Susanville, CA in 1958.
Bob was a Lassen High graduate, class of 1964. He married Sharon Dustin and had 3 beautiful children Laurie Wiebelhaus, Stacy Giles, and Bill Dale.
Bob’s first job was working for the forest service. Then he started his career working for Safeway. He made many lasting friendships and memories with his co-workers and serving the people in our community for 37 ½ years.
Some of Bob’s hobbies and interests included sailing, kayaking, riding his bike with family and friends, fixing bikes, and photography with his grandson. Spending time with his family was a priority! Bob’s family meant the world to him.
He is preceded in death by his brother William H. Carlson, and his parents Wade Dale and May Dale.
Survived by Deb Hudson of 26 years, his children Laurie, Stacy (Mike) and Bill. Deb’s children Dawn, Alana, (Steve) Lea, Melissa (Isaac) and Rebecca. Bob and Deb’s grandchildren Zane (Kare) Ellie, Dalton, Hayden, Jonathan, Trenton, Chase, Oliver, Maxwell, Bradly, Cal, Meadow, Alora, Sylar, Gemini, Hudson, and Hendrix.
If you were one of the many fortunate people in Bob’s life you were truly blessed! You are dearly missed by your family and friends.
A celebration of life will be scheduled later in the spring.
