Forty-five top competitors from Susanville’s chapter of Future Farmers of America hit the road January 27th, to take part in the FFA’s annual Tulelake Field Day. The group participated in a variety of competition categories and, according to advisor Elizabeth Ammon, had a ‘great day’ – scoring well in both individual and team events.
Here are the day’s results:
Advanced Parliamentary procedure placed 1st high team. Novice Parliamentary procedure placed 2nd high team.
Julia Bruce placed 6th high in Impromptu public speaking.
Danny Davidson placed 6th high and Katelyn Kirack placed 5th high in Job Interview.
The Veg Crop team placed 1st high team with Ethan Shmuelavich placing 8th, Kahlen Somerville placing 7th, Aiden Skillingstad placing 6th, Tyler Swayze placing 5th, Joseph Phan placing 4th and Rory Van DeVenter placing 2nd high individual.
Veterinary science placed first high team with Abbie Hemphill placing 7th high team, Yunuen Figueroa placing 4th, Lily Ammon placing 3rd and Isabell Moore placing 1st high individual.
Best Informed Greenhand placed 3 high team with Addy Rotlisberger placing 6th high individual.
Ag mechanics placed 2nd and 3rd high teams with Curtis mallery placing 8th, Cole Baldwin placing 7th, Danny Davidson placing 4th and Quentin Maumoynier placing 1st.
