A Susanville man was arrested Thursday morning after the Susanville Police Department, the Lassen County Sheriff’s Office and the Susanville CHP executed a warrant at a South Gilman Street residence. According to police the man was wanted because he had made, “terrorist threats against a Police Officer.”

“The initial search was to locate any firearms that may be used to carry out the threats,” explained Interim Chief of Police Kelley Merritt in details released this morning.

The search revealed that the suspect, identified by police as Jeffery Lord Sr., was in possession of four firearms, one of which was loaded.

In addition to the firearms, law enforcement also seized approximately 60 grams of Heroin, other items consistent with the sales of drug paraphernalia and $26,980 in cash.
