Lassen Family Services Parenting Group Classes. Reduce the chaos and power struggles; learn an approach to parenting that is both simple and effective. “Positive Parenting with a Plan,” by Matthew A. Johnson, Psy. D., MSW, helps parents establish order and structure in the home, including rewards and positive consequences that work! Designed as a 12-week program, group and individualized instruction is provided on an on-going basis. Group classes are held Tuesdays from 3:00 – 4:00 p.m. and Fridays from 10:00–11:00 a.m.

There will be a special Town Hall Meeting in Janesville, Thursday, April 4th at 6:30p.m., hosted by 3rd district Lassen County Supervisor Jeff Hemphill. The forum will be held in the Janesville Fire Hall, 463-390 Main Street in Janesville. Hemphill invites Janesville residents to attend with a neighbor and to stay informed and involved. Susanville Police Officers Association Taco Feed Fundraiser will be at the Diamond Willow Room at the casino from 5:00 – 9:00p.m. All proceeds benefit the Police Officers’ Association efforts to bring a K9 to the Susanville Police Department. Their goal is $25,000. Tickets are $9 each or $30 for a family of four. Tickets include a dine-in or take out option along with silent auction and live music by Forgery. Tickets are available for purchase at the Susanville Police Department or from any POA member.
