The Susanville Police Department issued sixteen citations and made thirty-six traffic stops Thursday as part of a traffic safety enforcement operation near the east end of Susanville’s Main Street.
Funding for the program is provided by a grant from the California Office of Traffic Safety, through the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, with a goal of making local streets safer for residents.
The department thanked the Lassen County Sheriff’s Department Dispatch Center for their assistance during the traffic safety operation and reminded the public to wear their seatbelts and obey all traffic laws.
