Lassen Youth Soccer will be hosting the 2024 District IX Cup this weekend, November 2nd and 3rd. The event will feature U10, U12, and U14 age divisions competing at Susanville Ranch Park and Riverside Park.
LYS President Alli Clavel said that the league encourages the community to come out and support the young athletes, local businesses, and the overall event.
“Players and their families should begin arriving Friday evening,” explains Clavel. “We advise local businesses to be ready for a large increase in patronage over the weekend, especially on Saturday. We expect upwards of 300 people visiting for the Cup! Please be courteous and give them a friendly Susanville welcome.”
Clavel said that, as the largest league in CalNorth’s District IX, LYS is honored to be given the opportunity and look forward to putting on an amazing event.
Sno Mountain and Alpakas Tacos will be at Ranch Park, offering delicious food and drinks. Fine Designs will also be present, providing District Cup apparel. At Riverside Park, Get Roasted will be serving up coffee and deli fare.
