For the 28th year Lassen Family Services and the California Correctional Center will be holding their Hobby Craft Fair and Auction this weekend at the Lassen County Fairgrounds.
The fundraiser will feature handcrafted wooden items and gifts made by the California Correctional Center fire camps, with donations benefiting victims of crime in Lassen County.
Proceeds from the event are used to help victims of crime pay for legal services, transportation, temporary housing, utilities and other associated costs.
At last year’s Hobby Craft fair Correctional Center staff and inmates’ contributions helped raise thousands of dollars to aid those in need. This year the organization’s goal is to raise $28,000 from the sale of handcrafted items at the auction.
