Mark your calendars for Saturday, September 19th, and head to Westwood Park to join the festivities at the Westwood Chimney Fund’s 33rd annual Chili Cook-off. The party kicks off at 12:00p.m. and will feature plenty of fun for everyone, including live music, a 50/50 raffle, kids’ games, face painting, and a BBQ.
Of course, the main event is the chili! Tasting kits are available for $7 so you can sample all the competitors’ recipes and cast your vote.
Awards will be given for Judge’s Choice, People’s Choice, and Best Decorated Booth. There will also be an award for Best Signature Drink and an added Salsa Contest!
How to Compete
Think your recipe has what it takes? Anyone can enter the cook-off, but space is limited, so be sure to sign up early! The registration fee is $20 per entry, and each team can have up to two cooks. Pre-registration is necessary for space allocation, and the sign-up deadline is September 14th.
