Crews from the California Correctional Center, Antelope Conservation Camp and Cal-Fire all came to the rescue last week, working to help Lassen College prepare and beautify the campus for it’s May 28th graduation ceremony.
Lassen College requested the assistance of CCC’s crew to cleanup over-growth of brush at the front of campus between Hwy 139 and the Gym parking lot.
LCC Interim Superintendent/President Trevor Albertson thanked CCC Warden Suzanne Peery and the CalFire crew for their work.
“Due to Covid, lack of fiscal support from the State’s Community College system and a shortage of ground maintenance staff, campus was in dire need of a concerted clean-up effort,” explained Albertson. “[We] would like to publicly thank the Antelope Conservation Camp, CCC, and CalFire. The crew’s assistance was invaluable to LCC.”
