In loving memory of a vibrant spirit who journeyed through life with a suitcase in hand, we bid farewell to Beulah Juneau, who passed away on February 29, 2024. Born in Ogden, Iowa, Beulah embarked on a life filled with adventure, love, and service from the moment she arrived.
On January 1, 1950, she married Gail Goekler in Reno, Nevada, marking the beginning of a journey that saw them settle in various beautiful locations including Chico, Los Gatos, and Eagle Lake. After the passing of Gail in 1989, Beulah found love again and married Joe Juneau in 1992, continuing her journey with a partner who shared her zest for life. Beulah’s thirst for adventure took her from the chilly landscapes of Alaska to the vibrant cultures of South America, and from the bustling streets of Hong Kong to the historic sites of Europe.
After Joe’s passing in 2007 Beulah moved from Redding to Seaside, then McMinnville, OR.
A woman of many talents, Beulah began her career as a cosmetologist but didn’t stop there. She later explored the culinary arts as a restaurant cook and ventured into the world of real estate. Her involvement in community and social clubs was a testament to her passion for life and people. She served as the past president of the Los Gatos History Club, past Worthy Matron of the Eastern Star, and was a dedicated member of Village House and Daughters of the Nile.
Beulah leaves behind a legacy of love, adventure, and a life well-lived. Her memory will be cherished by all who knew her, as a reminder to embrace life’s journey with open arms and a willing heart.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to The Susanville Masonic Lodge in Beulah Juneau’s memory, honoring her spirit of generosity and community service.
Billie Juneau’s service will be held on June 1st at the Diamond Crest Cemetery at 10:30a.m., with a reception following at the Masonic Hall in Susanville.
