Joan Zuehlke, founder of the studio, is celebrating 50 years of sharing the love of dance with countless students.

This is going to be an amazing show filled with talented dancers, brilliant choreography, and your favorite music and movie magic from Disney.

JandJ Performing Arts
You can see the J and J Competitive Team in action this Sunday, May 19th, at their big Competitive Dance Team Show in the Susanville Veterans Memorial Hall. The team will be showcasing all of their performances from the recent Rainbow Competition in Sacramento.

The show starts at 6:00p.m. and admission is only $5 and tickets will be available at the door.

The dance team traveled to their final competition of the season last week at the Rainbow Competition, shining as they took on thousands of top dancers from premiere studios across northern California.

Three J and J dancers were crowned Dancer of the Year as well as students placing in the categories of novice division, Junior Hip Hop, advanced division, duet, trio, and Teen hip hop.

J and J also took home Double Platinums for highest score and the advanced teen/senior team took home a sweep of Double Platinums for the weekend, winning several Judges Awards, scholarships and top 10 overalls along the way.

You can see it all for yourself this Sunday at 6:00p.m.

The Depot Barbershop
There is a brand new barber shop in town! The Depot Barbershop is officially open for business at 2100 Main Street in Susanville.

The Depot Barbershop is a veteran-owned, walk-in only barbershop specializing in fades, straight shaves, classic haircuts and beard trims. They are open Monday through Saturday from 9:00 to 6:00p.m.

Steve Betts, owner and operator of the new barber shop tells us, “I have been a licensed barber for eight years. I am licensed in California and Nevada. I have owned and operated two show shops in Plumas County. One in Quincy and one in Portola which I split time between the two up until last Friday. I am now full time in Susanville.”
