Sweet Rachel is Buzzing with energy and craves an active lifestyle. She’s outgoing, always excited to meet new faces, Loves to play with other dogs, and her new favorite activity is taking dips in donated swimming pools out in the play yard. Daily exercise to get her wiggles out is Mandatory, however she does settle and relax once she’s been given an acceptable outlet for her excess energy.
Rachel’s perfect home should be without cats and children should be older due to Rachel’s habit of jumping up; she could easily knock over small children. This habit is something both shelter staff and volunteers with Jackie Earnshaw’s ‘Animal Shelter Volunteer Program’ have been working on with her. In addition, Rachel also requires a home with solid and secure fencing. Her previous owner stated that she can climb chain-link fencing, so potential adopters need to be aware of this fact and take it into consideration when contemplating bringing Rachel into their family.
Rachel is about a year old, spayed, UTD on her vaccinations, and heartworm tested negative. Should there be other dogs already home, please bring them with you to ensure all the dogs get along and a good match is made.
Featured animals at the Lassen County Animal Shelter are available for adoption on a first-come-first-serve basis. According to California law, all adoptable dogs and cats must be spayed and neutered before leaving our facility. If interested in adopting an animal, please contact the shelter directly.
