Walter P. Bagby passed away on April 22, 2024 leaving behind his wife Gloria of 57 years, his daughters, Kimberlee (Jeff Mason) and Malinda (Don) Tutterow and his grandchildren, Mackenzie Mason, Trevor, Elijah and Brylee Tutterow. Also numerous Aunts, nieces, nephews, and cousins. He was preceded in death by his parents, Lester and Anne Bagby, brother Harold and sisters, Rosemary and Carol Jean.
Walt was born in Dodge City, Kansas, Jan. 19, 1946. He graduated from Dodge City High School in 1964. After high school he enlisted in the United States Army and served his country as an MP. Upon honorable discharge from the Army, he went to work for CDC and spent 25 years as a Correctional Officer and a Locksmith. After CDC, he became a handy man of sorts helping out some of our local businesses like the Bowling Alley, Pioneer, and the hospital. He also worked for Max at TNT building trusses until health issues got in the way.
Finally, he retired and started doing his all-time favorite thing: Spending time with his grandkids.
