Zane DeForest, a US Air Force Airman First Class and Lassen High graduate, was recognized for his service at a Las Vegas Raiders game in Allegiant Stadium during the half time show.
He was the only one chosen from Nellis Air Force Base for Salute to Service at the November 24th, game.
DeForest was born in Susanville to Matt and Gina DeForest. He graduated from Lassen High School in 2022 and enlisted in September of 2022. He is stationed at Nellis AFB and is a member of the 99th Squadron Security Force.
Since enlisting, Zane has earned his AA degree in Criminal Justice and is half way to earning his Bachelor’s Degree in Business.
His other accomplishments include a deployment to Al Dhafra Air Force Base, Presidential Security for Air Force One, Security for Dubai Air Show and completing Sniper School.
