Lassen’s Best and Brightest Show Off Geography Knowledge at Annual Competition

Fourth and Fifth Grade Winners

The 38th annual Lassen County Geography Bee was held last week at Richmond School, featuring some of Lassen County’s brightest local students showing off their knowledge of United States and world geography.

Fourth and fifth grade competitors were given both oral and written questions about the United States. Sixth, seventh and eighth grade students answered questions about the entire world.

Jewel Paddock – 1st place 5th grade – Meadow View
Audrey Edholm- 3rd place overall – Janesville
Jackson Fletcher- Runner Up – Johnstonville
Eli Jenner 1st place – Meadow View

1st place Overall – Dylan Langford – Shaffer

Winners received gift certificates for Margie’s Book Nook, sponsored by the Lassen County Office of Education.
