Last year more than 80 staff members at Banner Lassen Medical Center produced and starred in their own ‘Pink Glove Dance’ video to help spread the word about breast cancer awareness and prevention. This year the hospital is inviting everyone to come join them for the filming of a new video, which will be entered into the national competition.
This is the 3rd annual competition sponsored by Medline Industries, producer of the original Pink Glove Dance video.
As part of the Pink Glove Dance 2013 competition, Banner Lassen Medical Center’s video will be posted on www.pinkglovedance.com along with other video submissions from across the country. Viewers will be able to vote for their favorite!
The top three video vote-getters receive a donation in their name to the breast cancer charity of their choice;  Banner Lassen Medical Center has chosen Relay for Life, Susanville. The winners will be announced in November, on www.pinkglovedance.com and here on SusanvilleStuff.com
Theresa Ritz, who is coordinating the event, says that children are welcome to participate in the filming. The video will feature participants wearing pink colored gloves to raise awareness about the importance of early detection of cancer.
The Pink Glove Dance has inspired an international movement of passionate caregivers, health care workers, students, business owners, law enforcement and firefighters to show their support in fun, creative ways for those afflicted with this terrible disease.
