The Business and Career Network is offering one-on-one counseling and business assistance to eligible entrepreneurs who are thinking about starting a business. The program offers financial and legal counseling, management and marketing assistance, help with loan preparation, and much more. Existing businesses, in all stages of business development and operation, can also take advantage of customized programs available thru the Business and Career Network to assist with improving your business. The Chamber will be ordering 2014 Labor Law posters which feature the required federal and state notices on one poster. They will be available to Chamber members for $25.00 or/ non-member for $35.00 per poster. California businesses are required to post updated employment posters at each place of business. Pre-orders are now being taken; contact the Chamber office at 257-4323 if you would like to have a poster ordered for your business.
The Chamber board of directors continues to accept applications to fill four board vacancies. Applications must be return by Monday, December 9, 2013. The three year board terms will begin in January 2014. Chamber members interested in representing the business community and sharing their time and talents by serving on the board are encouraged to apply. Stop by the Chamber office or call 257-4323 to obtain an application to apply for the vacancies.
