Nearly 500 new and gently-used sweaters and gloves were collected at Walton’s Funeral Home locations in Northern Nevada and Susanville, during the Veterans and Family Memorial Care ‘Sweaters for Veterans’ initiative.
The donated sweaters and gloves will be distributed through the Lassen County Veterans Services office in Susanville, as well as the Homeless Veterans Outreach Program in Reno.
Walton’s is also the official Cell Phones for Soldiers drop off center for Northern Nevada and Susanville. People are invited to bring in their old cell phones to recycle and convert into one hour of free talk time for our heroes overseas.
