The last monthly Chamber board meeting of the year will be held on Thursday, December 12, 2013, beginning at noon, at the Diamond Mountain Casino, in the Hotel Conference Room, Susanville. Included on the agenda is the selection of new board officers for the coming year. The board encourages public attendance and comment; if you would like to address the board please contact the office staff prior to the board meeting so that you can be added to the agenda.
The Chamber board of directors is accepting applications to fill four board vacancies. The three year board terms will begin in January 2014. Chamber members interested in representing the business community and sharing their time and talents by serving on the board are encouraged to apply. The Board is seeking candidates who have business experience, community involvement, and the desire to represent the interests of the local business community. Stop by the Chamber office or call 257-4323 to receive an application to apply for the vacancies. Applications must be return by December 10, 2013.
The Chamber will be ordering 2014 Labor Law posters which feature the required federal and state notices on one poster. California businesses are required to post updated employment posters at each place of business. Pre-orders are now being taken; contact the Chamber office at 257-4323 if you would like to have a poster ordered for your business.
