Fire crews from the Bureau of Land Management plan to burn large piles of brush and limbs Tuesday, December 17th, across a 70-acre area northeast of Eagle Lake.
The burn piles are along the Horse Lake Road, about midway between state highways 139 and 395. They were created during juniper thinning projects last year.
Smoke may be visible from highways 139 and 395, and from communities at the north shore of Eagle Lake.
Piles will be ignited only if weather conditions allow for safe and successful burning and smoke dispersion.
More information is available from the BLM Eagle Lake Field Office, (530) 257-0456.
