The board is accepting applications to fill an unexpired term on the board of directors. Chamber members interested in applying can stop by the Chamber office to pick up an application.
The 2014 Federal and State Labor Law posters have arrived. If you preordered a poster you can stop by the chamber office to pick up your reserved copy. Businesses are required to post updated employment posters at each place of business. If you did not order a poster but would like an updated copy for your business, limited quantities are available for purchase at the Chamber office.
Learn about the labor law changes that will affect your business by attending the Labor Law Update Workshop that will be held January 15, 2-4pm, at the Business and Career Network, located at 1616 Chestnut Street. The Chamber has partnered with Spring Hill Press to create an updated Lassen County area map. Spring Hill Press will be making advertising opportunities available beginning January 16. Call the Chamber office if you have any questions regarding the map project.
Chamber membership dues notices for 2014 have been sent out. Chamber membership is tax deductible as a ‘necessary business expense’. If you are not a member and are interested in more information about joining contact the chamber staff at 257-4323.
