Honey Lake Valley folks flocked to the fairgrounds on Friday and Saturday to help raise funds for the Humane Society, while getting great deals on a lot of neat items at the group’s annual yard sale event.
The yard sale was held in the Industrial Building at the fairgrounds and featured items contributed by local donors, along with baked goods and refreshments served by the society.
Funds raised at the annual event support many facets of the Humane Society’s mission. Since 2004 the Lassen Humane Society has returned over $600,000 to Lassen County residents in spay/neuter reimbursement funds and have helped alter more than 4,500 dogs and cats.
Our local Humane Society also facilitates animal adoptions, the Pups on Parole program and helps find kitties and doggies a new home with their rehoming assistance.
