This summer Lassen Community College will be offering a hands-on introductory course on the art of mural painting from conception to execution with students learning basics about mural materials, paints, media and the methods of application.
Students will work with surface preparations, cleaning and sealing.
Also explored through this class will be methods of reproducing original abstract/non-representational designs onto surfaces with the use of the grid, projector and freehand to create the illusion of reality on a flat surface through depth and perspective.
The course will run Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays from June 23rd to July 10th. Classes will be held from 9:00a.m. to 12:50p.m. each day in the school’s Creative Arts building.
