When school ends so do school breakfast and lunch programs, but together we can help feed the hungry kids in Lassen County.
The Lassen County Food Council is organizing a food drive to help families and to support food pantries in our area.
The Food Council is looking for the following items:
- Dry cereal instant oatmeal
- Granola bars multi-grain chips
- Multi-grain crackers canned fruit
- Dried or dehydrated fruit peanut butter
- Jelly canned chicken
- Canned tuna mayonnaise
- Applesauce pancake mix
- Syrup powdered milk
- Kid friendly soup microwave cup meals
- 100% juice boxes
- Shelf stable milk (Parmalat)
The council will gladly accept cash, checks and gift cards to local grocery stores to purchase perishables such as fresh fruit, bread, eggs, dairy, lunch meat.
Please make checks payable to: Salvation Army.
Note: all food will be dispersed to participating LCFC food pantries in Lassen County.
