Fire personnel suited up and headed to a pair of fires Sunday, emphasizing the extremely dry conditions and high fire danger in our area.
At 11:00a.m. crews responded to a 10×20 spot fire burning in brush behind McDonald’s on Riverside Drive. The blaze was quickly extinguished.
On Sunday afternoon firefighters were called to a structure fire on North Lassen Street near North Street. One building, which appeared to be an attached garage, was completely destroyed and a residence adjacent to the garage also received fire damage.
