John Martin Hull – November 4, 2014

John Martin Hull

John Martin Hull, 67, passed away at his home on November 4, 2014 after a battle with cancer. He was born in Westwood and moved to Susanville when he was 9 years old. Born to Fred and Beatrice Hull in 1947. He was preceded in death by his parents and brother Dave. He worked at the sawmills and most recently retired from being a custodian at the Susanville School District.

His hobbies included cutting firewood, dragging main street, gardening, spending time with grandkids and watching the 49ers lose (to anyone). He was known and loved by many. He always claimed to be the vice president of the “looking for friends” club and took pride in “owning Main Street.”

He is survived by his wife, Nita Hull, kids, Dwayne Check of Reno, Adam Hull of Susanville, Megan Parry (spouse Chad) of Crescent City. Grand children Breanna and Braydin Hull and Jessilyn Parry. Sister Marriane Torres of Spokane, numerous brother and sister in laws, nieces and nephews and a lot of other extended family members who will miss him very much.

No services will be held at this time, per the family’s request. Anybody wishing to make a donation in his name can go to Honey Lake Hospice who spent a lot of their time helping the family with his care in his home.

Love you always. We’ll miss you pops.

Why Pre-plan?

Thinking about your own funeral leaves most people feeling a little uneasy, but more adults are finding that pre-planning a funeral offers great emotional and even financial security for them and their families. With pre-planning, families find comfort in knowing that the funeral reflects what their loved one wanted. It also gives them peace of mind to not have to make important decisions at a stressful time. Click here to visit Walton’s Funeral Home
