The Chamber board elected new officers for the 2016 year; President Rod Chambers, Sierra Broadcasting Corp., Vice President Richard Parker, Integrated Insurance Broker, and Treasurer, Amanda McGarva, CPA. Thank you to outgoing President Matthew Pregill, Pregill Insurance, for his outstanding service to the Chamber this past year.
The Chamber board elected Vicki Lozano, Owner/Broker Mt. Lassen Properties, Angie Crowley, Edward Jones Investments Financial Advisor, and Chad Nethery, Owner/General Manager Susanville Auto Center as the newest members to the board of directors. They will begin their 3 year board terms in January 2016.
The following is a message from outgoing President Mathew Pregill; This has been a good year for the Lassen County Chamber of Commerce. From ribbon cuttings, chamber mixers, chamber sponsored events, symposiums, and the America’s Best Communities contest we have accomplished so much. Speaking of the America’s Best Communities contest, we were successful to be included as one of the top 50 cities moving on to compete for the grand prize of $3 million. After much discussion and surveying our community, we have submitted our application for the next round of the competition. I would like to thank the community for your valuable input.
The Chambers primary mission is to promote local business and market our community to encourage visitors and locals alike to experience what our business community has to offer. To this end, the Chamber purchased a traveling marketing display which will be used at trade shows to help promote Lassen County and area businesses. This resource is available to all Chamber members and if you are interested in participating please contact the Chamber staff.
