The Chamber board will meet on Thursday, January 7, 2016 for the annual board training/planning meeting that will be held, from 9am to 1pm, at Diamond Mountain Casino- hotel conference room. Congratulations to new officers for 2016 that were elected at the December board meeting; President Rod Chamber Owner/General Manager Sierra Broadcasting Corp. , Vice President, Richard Parker Integrated Insurance Broker, and Treasurer, Amanda McGarva, CPA. Thank you to outgoing President, Matthew Pregill, Pregill Insurance, for his outstanding service to the Chamber this past year.
The Chamber is also pleased to welcome Angie Crowley, Edward Jones Investments, Vicki Lozano, Mt. Lassen Properties, and Chad Nethery, Susanville Auto Center as the newest members to the board of directors.
The Chamber has received the order of 2016 Labor Law posters which feature all required federal and state notices on one poster. California employers are required to post updated employment posters at each place of business. If you pre-ordered a poster they are ready for pickup; stop by to pick- up your poster, Monday thru Friday, 9am to 4pm. We also have a limited quantity of extra posters available for sale if you did not place an order but need a poster. Stop by the Chamber office, 75 North Weatherlow Street, to purchase one for your business. Limited quantities are available for sale on a first-come-first-served basis to those who did not pre-order a poster for their business.
Let’s work to together to market our area to potential visitors. The Chamber plans to attend two Outdoor Recreation Shows in March of 2016 to market area businesses and showcase all the Lassen County has to offer in outdoor adventure. We could use your help; if you are willing to volunteer to staff the booth and market our area any of the dates we will be attending (Redding-March 4,5,6 or/ Reno– March 18,19,20) please call the chamber office at 257-4323 to be added to the volunteer list.
