Franklin Clark Beckett, Jr. – March 7, 2016

Franklin Clark Beckett, Jr.

June 24, 1949- March 7, 2016

Frank, 66, entered into eternity with his Savior at his home, on Eagle Lake, (Susanville, CA) after a brief and brave battle with cancer. He is survived by his wife of 48 years, Linda, his daughter, Peggy (& Jim) McGee of Colorado Springs, CO, and son, Matthew (& Sharon) Beckett of El Dorado Hills, CA. He is also survived by grandson Kelly, granddaughters Lydia, Audrey, and Sarah, sister Dianne (& Rick) LaFleur of Littleton, CO, and loving in-laws, nieces, nephews, and brothers- and sisters-in-Christ. He was preceded in death by his parents and his brother.

While Frank was born in Grand Junction, CO, to Jeanne Horning Beckett and Franklin Clark Beckett, he graduated from Longmont High School in 1967. In 1975, he moved his young family to Livermore, California, where he worked at Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory for the better part of 30 years. Many also knew Frank as their real estate agent, whether in Livermore in the 1970s or in Lassen County, (where he and Linda retired to,) from 2006-2015. His investment in the community around him was seen in his service on the Spaulding District Board of Directors, 2006-2008, as well as his years of service in local churches, including the planting of Grace Life Church of Susanville in early 2015.

Frank will forever be remembered for his smile, laughter, faith, wisdom, integrity, strength, courage, and love of God, family, Labradors, and nature.

A memorial service will be held at Grace Life Church in Susanville, CA at 3:30 pm on March 14, 2016, with a graveside service held for family at a later date. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that you consider continuing Frank’s legacy in support of Shepherd’s Gate (in Livermore, CA) or Grace Life Church of Susanville (CA.)

Why Pre-plan?

Thinking about your own funeral leaves most people feeling a little uneasy, but more adults are finding that pre-planning a funeral offers great emotional and even financial security for them and their families. With pre-planning, families find comfort in knowing that the funeral reflects what their loved one wanted. It also gives them peace of mind to not have to make important decisions at a stressful time. Click here to visit Walton’s Funeral Home
