The Susanville Kiwanis Club did it again! Their Easter Egg Hunt at the Lassen County Fairgrounds drew children from all over the valley for prizes and fun on Saturday morning.
The annual spring tradition is a massive undertaking for the Kiwanis folks, who along with the help of Lassen High Wrestlers, Job’s Daughters, Girl Scouts and volunteers from WalMart, stuffed more than 5,000 eggs for Susanville’s kids to come find.
The eggs were filled with candy and a chance to win big prize baskets, all donated by Kiwanis and local sponsors.
In our story leading up to the Kiwanis Easter Egg Hunt we announced that different age groups would begin at staggered times as they have in past years. Instead, this year all of the age groups started at the same time and we want to apologize to those of you who didn’t know about the change because our SusanvilleStuff story had incorrect information. – Jeremy
