Eagle Lake Nature Programs will present two features this week, one focusing on catching Eagle Lake trout and a ‘bird walk’ at the Marina led by Dr. Lew Oring.
This Friday at 8:00p.m. join retired Fisheries Biologist, Paul Chappell, for an Eagle Lake fishing workshop titled ‘Think Like an Eagle Lake Trout So You’ll Catch More.’
This workshop is the ticket to landing a beautiful Eagle Lake trout! Chappell has been involved in fishing at Eagle Lake since 1976 as well as working as a guide for five years. Chappell’s multimedia presentation teaches anglers how to get the most out of their fishing trips to Eagle Lake.
On Saturday, August 13th join Dr. Lew Oring for a bird walk at the Eagle Lake marina at 9:00a.m. Meet near the old marina adjacent to the breakwater.
Dr. Oring will teach participants about shore birds at Eagle Lake. Oring, a retired ornithologist, has traveled the world researching shore birds. Come hear from an expert about grebes, pelicans, osprey and other Eagle Lake waterfowl.
Eagle Lake Marina sponsors both of these free events. All are welcome to attend!
