The Susanville office of the California Highway Patrol is working together with Lassen Family Services to collect food for needy local families at a food drive going on right now in the parking lot at Susanville Supermarket IGA on Main Street.
Food donations will go to the Lassen Family Services food pantry for local families who need assistance. The CHP cruiser is parked in the store’s parking lot today from 3:00 until 7:00p.m. accepting your donations.
Lassen Family Services’ food shelf is in need, according to event organizer Heather Roney, and they are asking everyone’s help in ‘Cramming the Cruiser’ as full and as fast as you can.
