Make plans to attend the Thursday, November 17th, Chamber Mixer that will be hosted by Tri Counties Bank, from 5:30 to 7:30pm, at 2641 Main Street, Susanville. Food and a no-host bar will be available. The event will include a fun new activity “pin the money on the piggy bank”! Everyone is welcomed to attend and we encourage you to bring a friend.

The Chamber board is accepting applications to fill two expired board terms; the 3 year terms will begin in January 2017. Chamber members who are interested in helping to promote the business community and Lassen County by serving on the board are encouraged to apply. Stop by the Chamber office for an application or contact the chamber staff, at 257-4323, for more information or to have an application forwarded to you. Applications must be returned by Monday, December 5th. The board will select new board members at the December 8th board meeting.

The Chamber is still accepting preorders for 2017 Labor Law posters which feature the required federal and state notices on one poster. They will be available to Chamber members for $30.00 or/ non-member for $40.00 per poster. California businesses are required to post updated employment posters at each place of business. Contact the Chamber office at 257-4323 if you would like to have a poster ordered for your business. The 2017 posters should be arriving by mid-December.

The Christmas Committee, chaired by Julie Brown, are busy preparing for the  Annual Magical Country Christmas Celebration that will be held Saturday, December 3rd, from 5-7pm, in Historic Uptown Susanville.  The celebration will feature entertainment, Christmas Parade, Toys for Tots drive, and fireworks to ring in the Christmas season. Main Street will be closed to thru traffic during the celebration. This is a fun filled event for the whole family. Christmas Parade or vendor entry forms are available at the Chamber office or by logging on to lassencountychamber.org.

Chamber renewal notices will soon be sent out for the 2017 year; your prompt payment is appreciated. Your investment in the Chamber makes possible the many services and events that promote and support business, tourism, and relocation in Lassen County. We appreciate your investment and continued support as part of the Chamber team.  Remember that your membership is tax deductible as a ‘necessary business expense’.

It’s that time again; we are taking stock of business brochures and information packets we offer to the public. As a member of the Chamber, we need your updated business information here at the Chamber Visitors Center. Let us know what’s new with your business, bring us business cards, updated brochures, or other items that we can have on hand to promote your business throughout the year.
